Southern Laos is renowned for its culture, history, and nature. A private journey offers the chance to experience the region in style and comfort. Travel through small, quiet towns, explore lush, aromatic coffee plantations, admire impressive waterfalls, and visit UNESCO-listed ancient ruins. There is also time to discover the famous 4,000 Islands and stay in some of Laos’s finest hotels.
Following your arrival at Pakse International Airport, enjoy an excursion to the Bolaven Plateau, a high region known for its waterfalls, ethnic minorities, and coffee and tea production. Travel through the Lao countryside, passing villages, temples, and farmland, and feel how the air turns cooler as the road climbs to higher altitudes. En route, stop to observe local methods of tea and coffee production, with time perhaps for a cup, before exploring the plantations found along the road to the Bolaven Plateau. A visit to Tad Fane offers a glimpse of the huge twin waterfalls that plunge out of the dense forest and tumble more than 120 metres down. Later, continue to Tad Yeung, where the falls drop an impressive 42 metres and are surrounded by lush vegetation. Afterwards, return to Pakse for the night by road.
