The southern Mekong Delta, known as Vietnam's "Rice Bowl," is a lush, fertile region with extensive waterways, traditional villages, verdant rice paddies, coconut groves, and fruit orchards. This day tour to My Tho offers a glimpse into rural life in the Delta. A motorboat ride down the Tien River takes you past floating fish farms and the islands of Long, Lan, Qui, and Phung, then through the secluded Xep canal, once part of a water coconut jungle. Afterward, travel along village paths in a 'Xe Lam' or by bicycle to a family garden and workshop, where you can see and taste coconut candy, and fiery rice wine made by the locals. Take a break to enjoy honey tea and tropical fruits from the Delta, then a tranquil hand-rowed sampan ride along a palm-fringed creek offers moments of serenity.
